Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
Welcome to janss.tax. These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and the professional accounting, tax preparation, and consulting services provided by JANSS CPA PLLC ("the Firm").
1. Professional Engagement & Scope
Accessing information on this website or booking an introductory consultation does not create a formal CPA-client relationship. A binding professional engagement is established only upon the mutual execution of an official Engagement Letter detailing specific deliverables, fees, and responsibilities.
2. 20% Price Match & Savings Guarantee
JANSS CPA PLLC offers a 20% savings guarantee when switching from a current commercial CPA firm. To qualify:
- The prospective client must provide a verified prior-year invoice or engagement fee agreement from a licensed CPA firm covering comparable scope.
- JANSS CPA will deliver the equivalent or expanded scope of services for 80% of the documented rate.
- Month-to-month plans may be canceled at any time with standard notice as defined in the engagement agreement.
3. Accuracy of Client Information
Professional tax preparation and bookkeeping rely directly upon the accuracy and completeness of financial records, statements, and representations provided by the client. The client is responsible for retaining underlying receipts, logs, and substantiation in accordance with IRS guidelines.
4. Proprietary Systems & Intellectual Property
All software architectures, financial models, custom dashboards, code, designs, and content published on janss.tax are the proprietary intellectual property of JANSS CPA PLLC and may not be reproduced without written authorization.
5. Limitation of Liability
JANSS CPA PLLC delivers professional services with standard professional care in compliance with AICPA and Texas State Board of Public Accountancy regulations. The Firm is not liable for penalties or interest arising from untimely, incomplete, or fraudulent information provided by the taxpayer.
